NOTES: The equipment used in residences are combi, heating stove etc. for individual locations’ heating purposes, and boilers in central heating and when lignite is used in these equipment, the heating for cooking purposes in the kitchen, and for providing hot water for bathroom and kitchen use, must be done by using electricity or LPG. IN this case, total fuel costs required for heating in residences for 1000 kcal / hour, is reduced by substantial amount with only using natural gas, compared to other fuel.

1. This table is prepared to give an idea about the approximate operation costs of fuel, and unit prices include 18% VAT.  

2. (YC) Operation efficiency value of the fuel for sub caloric value, for full condensation equipment, is taken as 107% in natural gas, and 106% in LPG gas propane. This efficiency value represents the average of the efficiency values of existing producers and according to TS-EN 677 is valid under 30% load and for operation conditions with 300C return water. Additionally equipment with half condensation are also sold and in the event that these equipment work with fan modulation, the value of efficiency can be taken as 103% in natural gas, and as 102% in LPG pour gas propane. However, these types of equipment are not evaluated in this table due to limitation of space.

3. A part of the operation efficiency, is included in the average efficiency values and additional costs such as preparation of fuel, storing, operation costs etc. have also affected this value. Due to reasons of automatic control use, maintenance and operation quality efficiency can be increased and more suitable costs can be formed.

4. Prices of natural gas are the prices shown in the tariffs of city gas distribution companies of İgdaş, Başkentgaz, Esgaz, İzgaz and Bursagaz on February 5th 2010. Bursagaz and Esgaz natural gas unit prices are determined over the monthly unit prices of Botaş according to 2,5 cents that is the unit service and depreciation cost. This prices is given as an average value base on US Dollars. Natural gas unit prices in İgdaş, Başkentgaz and İzgaz are determined monthly according to the changes in rates of Producer Price Index, unit prices of Başkentgaz in Ankara; is determined as unit service depreciation cost 0,05555 US Dollars/m3, transportation cost received from the independent consumers ; is determined over 0,0077 US dollar/m3 and is the daily price published at "www.baskentdogalgaz.com.tr" address.

5. LPG and pour gas prices are the average prices obtained on February 5th 2010 from İpragaz and Aygaz. The price of 12 kg. household LPG including VAT as 53,5TL/piece is used.

6. Electricity prices is the prices found by adding 3% for TRT share and energy fund and 5% for municipality electricity consumption tax, to the Residence unit price indicated in the (4) tariff with Single Term and Single Timing to the Consumers receiving Energy from Distribution Companies of TEDAŞ published on January 1st, 210 and went into effect on February 5th 2010.

7. Heating equipment in the use of electricity is electrical heater, and in the use of heating pump, equipment’s COP system and annual values must be used.

8. Motorine is found by dividing the TL/liter value in the pump sales prices circular of SHELL per unit price (TL/kg) DATED February 5th 2010, into conversion coefficient of 0,845

9. Fuel prices are taken from the Istanbul European Side Local Pump Sales Price List with VAT, recommended by SHELL and announced by EMRA dated February 5th 2010.

10. Fuel sub calorific values are the values given by Tüpraş Technical Services Directorate March 1st 2006.

11. Domestic lignite price is taken from the Franchise Warehouse Sales price List o the (Packed) Coal for purposes of heating dated December 6th 2008 for TKİ-ELİ Kısrakdere Washed + 18 mm piece packed typed effective on February 5th 2010.It is 288 TL/ton for Istanbul, and is found by adding to the place of production prices the transportation fee of 480 km. between Istanbul-Soma ( 55 YTL/ton) for Istanbul and the price without VAT that is included in the 15% franchise profit margin by adding 18% VAT. (unit prices in the lists of 2008 were given excluding VAT.)  

12. Imported Siberian coal prices are the prices of Hakan Kömür Company, sales price with installments for the lignite orange type of coal, dated February 5th 2010, including the transportation fee to the apartments and VAT, 565 TL/ton
