Secure Usage of Natural Gas

  • If you have Natural Gas odor in your apartment (similar to rotten garlic)

If you have Natural Gas odor in your apartment (similar to rotten garlic)
  • Open door and window and ventilate the room
  • Close the counter valve.
  • Do not use matches or lighter
  • Do not turn on or off the electrical equipment and unplug them
  • Do not use door bell or allow others to use it.
  • Do not use your telephone
  • Remove everybody form the location where there is gas odor.
  • Call 187 Natural Gas Emergency from your neighbor.
  • If you can not reach 187 then call fire department.
  • If gas odor is coming from the basement or landing of the stairs of the building turn off the main stopping valve. Call 187 Natural Gas Emergency. Do not enter the basement and closed areas of the building.
  • Do not attempt to repair the malfunction in the equipment or do not allow the unauthorized people to try and repair the malfunction. Call 187 Natural Gas Emergency.
  • If gas odor is coming from you equipment there may be a malfunction in the equipment pilot or internal leakage. Have the authorized service maintain and repair the equipment.
If There is Natural Gas Odor Outside the Building
  • If you have perceived natural gas odor outside the buildings call NATURAL GAS EMERGENCY number 187 immediately.
  • Warn the people in the location and around the vicinity.
  • If there is excessive natural gas leakage then have the electricity of the region cut off.
  • Have the region secured by separating it and have the traffic in the area stopped.
  • Even though the gas odor is outside the building, gas leakage can be in the buildings near and especially in their basements. In such a condition do not attempt to enter the basement under any circumstance and warn 187 emergency warning team.
Re-submission of natural gas to subscribers whose services are stopped

In order for our customers whose gas supply is stopped due to debts, to start using gas against they must pay their debts to İZGAZ GDF SUEZ together with the fee turning on and off.

About the Counter Seal

It is determined that the subscribers whose gas supply is stopped due to their debts are taking off the seal on the counter without paying their debts or after the payment without waiting İZGAZ GDF SUEZ personnel. Since taking off the seal other than the authorized personnel of İZGAZ GDF SUEZ is evaluated as illegal use and is subject to penalty pursuant to relevant legislation. Our customer must wait for the personnel on duty in order not to be the suffered party.
