187 Natural Gas Emergency Telephone (Main Command Center )
187 Natural Gas emergency telephone is the service our subscribers who receive natural gas service call 7 days 24 hours in order to report emergencies.

Emergency Teams
These are the teams that work in 7 different regions for 7 days 24 hours in our license boundaries and that assess the incoming emergency reports to 187 Natural Gas emergency phone on location.

Excavation Control Teams
These are the teams that accompany all kinds of excavation work made in our licensed limits and that give the required measurements and standards before starting work. These teams work at 4 different regions within our license limits.

Notice
This is the information received by 187 Natural Gas emergency telephone, on conditions with problems or risks arsing from natural gas, damaging natural gas equipment or lines.

Operation of the systems:
Warining notices received by our main command center abour natural gas are recorded by means of a computer in the center. Additionally all telephone and wireless conversations to the main command center are recorded. The subscriber giving the notification, the reason for the notification, address, name of the person giving the notification and address information are snet to the emergency team of the relevant network chief’s office. 187 natural gas emergency teams which receive the emergency message are able to move fast to the notfication address to handle the situation. Result information of the notification are given again to the main command center.

When giving notification:
1. By giving your EVS numabrt, box number or your subscirber name, to the main command operator it will be easier for use to reach your address information. (Your Evs number is written on your invoice).
2. Provide the required and necessary information with the notice.
3. Inform about the identifying places relevant to the address subject of the notification.
4. Accompany İZGAZ teams whn they reach the address.

Types of notification and things to do:

If you smell gas in your apartment:
Natural gas which is normally odorless is given the rotten garlic smell to realize it easily in the case of a leakage. When you smell an odor similar to that of a rotten garlic, open the doors and windows and ventilate the rooms. Turn of the valve of the counter. Do not smoke, use a match or a lighter. Do not turn on or off the electrical equipment or unplug them. Do not use the door bell and allow its used. Do not use out telephone since it can cause a spark. Get everybody vacate the place where the gas odor is smelled. Call IZGAZ 187 Natural Gas Emergency line from your neighbor or from the nearest location. Do not try to remove the malfunction yourself.

If you smell gas in the stairs landing:

Close the natural gas input valve at the entrance of the building.
If the smell is coming from the basement do not enter the basement.
Open all windows opening to the landing and the entrance door of the building to ventilate the place.
Do not smokei use a lighter or match.
Do not operate electric equipment, and do not turn on those that are working.
Do not use electric switches and door bells.
Do not operate elevators and similar equipment.
Do not use the telephones in the building where there is gas leakage.
Inform IZGAZ 187 Natural Gas Emergency Line.

When there is heating, sparks over the natural gas facilities in the buildings ;

In such Conditons that are formed due to the problems in the electric installations of the buildings;

Turn off the natural gas input valve at the entrance of the apartment/building entrance.
Call IZGAZ 187 Natural Gas Emergency Line
Have the electricity of your building/apartment cut off.
Warn the people in the building.

When you gas supply is turned off by İZGAZ Teams for the puposes of safety;
In the re-turning on the gas turned off temporarily by being sealsed with red seal by IZGAZ teams due to problems that do/can affect the natural gas installations of the buildings:

Have the required transactions done with respect to the instructions given by IZGAZ 187 Natural Gas Teams when turning off the gas.
When informing main command for your request to turn on the gas, inform them that it was sealed earlier.
Under conditinos when equipment repair are not necessary, (such as problems in the burning equipment, problems that can be remedied on teh equipment without welding process) after calling your installer company or burning equipment service inform by calling 187 Natural Gas Emergency telephone and do not handle the valve or allowed to be interfered in any way until our teams arrive at the address of notification.
The gas will be supplied under the observation of our teams and control and by IZGAZ.

In case when there is no gas;

Make sure that all your valves are turned on in such conditions.
If the problem continues then call 187 Natural Gas Emergency.

If there is excavation work or an excavation work to be executed:
In all excavation work, permission must be requested in advance from the authorized municipality or other related organizations or institutions. Before starting the excavation, 187 Natural Gas Emergency telephone must be called and a team must be requested, after determining the places of natural gas lines, work should start and when work continıes, all required controls will continue as well.

When you see an excavation in your neigborhood or in your street, in case you call 187 Natural Gas Emergency phone and inform this excavation, a team will be sent to the site to control the work in the event that the employees at the center determine that we are not informed of such excavation.
